Welcome to the VEX Robotics U. S. Championship tournament home page. This year, CREATE's signature event will be held in the Iowa West Field House, right next door to the Mid-America Center. This facility will be the perfect home for the 2022 Open. Teams from across the World will be invited to to this unique event that spans all ages with four different games/challenges played in six distinct tournaments.

At the VEX Robotics U.S. Open Championship teams will participate in:

VEX IQ Elementary School (Pitching In) for up to 6th graders.
VEX IQ Middle School game (Pitching In) for 6th-8th graders.
VRC/EDR Middle School (Tipping Point) 6th-9th graders.
VRC/EDR High School (Tipping Point) for 9th-12th graders.

This year's registration fees are as follows:

VRC/EDR-HS - $550 (3 day event, Mon., March 28th, through Wed., March 30th, 2022)

VRC/EDR-MS - $550 (3 day event, thurs., March 31st, through Sat., April 2nd, 2022)

VEX IQ-Elem - $550 (3 day event, Mon., April 4th through Wed., April 6th, 2022)

VEX IQ-MS - $550 (3 day event, Mon., Mon., April 4th through Wed., April 6th, 2022)

COVID Protocol - There are currently no mask mandates of any kind locally, state wide or federally that pertain to the U.S. Open Robotics Championship. Therefore masks will be optional at this event. We have given all teams much larger pits and room to spread out and social distance if they choose to. We would ask all to respect the decisions to wear masks, or not.
